PULSATILLA

KOREANA

Inspired by Han Kang’s The Vegetarian, the collection explores themes of patriarchy and the contradictions of human nature. The flower’s evolution in high-altitude environments symbolizes the societal pressures women face in patriarchal cultures. The protagonist's relationship with nature reflects the human tendency to judge nature’s complexities based on appearances. The collection features four textiles, focusing on the flower’s downward shape and the texture of its trichomes. Using wire, stitching, and beads, the flower’s natural curves are captured. To highlight the trichomes’ texture, flocking and fringes were incorporated.
